Helikopterns historia

Aero Service was founded in 1943 by Lennart Osterman and is the world’s oldest still existing helicopter operation.

In 1946 they imported their first helicopter, a Bell 47B, started a helicopter company and changed the name to Osterman Aero. During the 1950s they flew helicopters in many parts of the world, including Kenya, India, Greenland and Liberia. In 1981 the current owners bought the flying section and changed the name to Osterman Helicopter.

On the 1st of June 2017, Osterman Helicopter became a trademark of STORM Heliworks AB, a competence company based in Östersund, delivering complete solutions with helicopters as a platform.
